The Day Autumn Died

From all around the mourners came,
The day that winter died.
From leafy forests brown and red,
And as the leaves floated down they slowly cried.
As the wind howls the sparrows take flight.
Badgers and foxes nocturnal at night,
Rummage through woods like hungry wolves.
The day that Autumn died.

Stealing is winters game,
It kidnaps the Autumn the forests and leaves.
And replaces it with a frosty cloak,
The day that Autumn died.
